Bail dimensions: 2.8 x 3.75mm. We recommend a chain no thicker than 2.25mm. This is an ancient shape for a cross that is still a favorite in many parts of the world. It originated from the Chi Rho, a popular monogram for Christ made of the first two letters of CRISTOS, greek for Christ. Eventually the appendages to the letters were dropped, leaving a cross of four equal lengths.
